Financial Help for Artists: UP Government

Many Times due to some health issues old aged artists have to get admitted in hospital, their economic condition is not that stable so that they can bear the expenses of treatment of any severe disease. UP government has come up with the scheme of providing financial help to the needy artist. Also this policy provides economical help in case of demise of the artist. The key features of the scheme for artists are enlisted below:

Eligibility:

• Artists who are being paid under the Pension Scheme for Old and Afflicted Artists of state.
• Artists of Uttar Pradesh who are being paid under Pension Scheme of Central Government

Benefits:

• Financial Help of up to Rs. 1 Lakh (once in life time) on submission of valid vouchers and bills of hospital.
• In case of demise of the artist, Amount of Rs. 5000 rupees to the family of the artist for Funeral and other immediate needs.
