Gujarat: Mata Yashoda Award For Anganwadi Workers And Helpers

Anganwadi is a government sponsored child-care and mother-care center in India. It caters to children in the 0-6 age group. These centers provide supplementary nutrition, non-formal pre-school education, nutrition and health education, immunization, health check-up and referral services of which later three services are provided in convergence with public health systems.

Objective:

To strengthen the services & to motivate Anganwadi workers and Anganwadi helpers, Gujarat State has introduced awards for imitable work.

Eligibility:

• Any Anganwadi worker
• Any Anganwadi helper, in the Gujarat

Benefits:

As benefits, awards in various categories will be given to best workers and helpers.

• State Level:

Rs. 51,000 for the best worker and Rs. 31,000 for the best helper.

• District Level:

Rs. 31,000 for the best worker and Rs. 21,000 for the best helper.
