Uttrakhand State Illness Assistance Fund Society has launched this scheme which is for the treatment of BPL Families. BPL families are not financially robust enough to get treatment for diseases. This scheme provides financial assistance for treatment of such diseases. All BPL families will be eligible for this scheme. This scheme is launched by the Department of Medical Health & Family Welfare. The Key features of this scheme are enlisted below:

• Heart Disease (With Surgery)
• Severe Mental Disorder (With Surgery)
• Brain-Tumour (With Surgery)
• HIV/AIDS
• Total Hip & Knee Replacement
• Spinal Surgery
• Major Vascular Surgery
• Bone -Marrow (Transplantation)
• Cornea-Pasty
• Kidney Transplantation

Benefits:

Maximum Illness Assistance fund will be Rs. 1.5 Lakhs and will be approved by State Management Committee. The payment will be made directly to the concerned hospital after receiving bills/vouchers from identified hospital.
