Soon Make in India Electronics Products Policy, drafted by NITI Aayog

Indian government’s lead policy think tank NITI Aayog is on the way of launching an electronics products policy that would specifically focus on incentives to produce in India. Indian market is largely dominated by Chinese electronic products, and without a clear policy of producing in India – makes it difficult for the investors. PM Modi’s last year launched Make in India initiative will get a major boost by having a clear policy in electronics, according to officials.

According to Aayog’s vice chairman Arvind Panagariya, “We are poised to soon draft a Make in India Electronic Products Policy after wide consultations with think tanks and industry experts”.
