Birth and Death Certificates to be Issued Online in Maharashtra

• Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration Department, PS Meena, said that the Right to Services(RTS) Act will be linked to the government’s grievance redress portal, ‘Aaple Sarkar’.
• “Citizens can apply for caste, death and birth certificates, make online payments and the certificate will be delivered at home,” Meena said.
• The state government will provide 50 of the 150 services under the Right to Services Act online starting from October 2.
