Training Programme scheme for Handicrafts: Jammu & Kashmir

Directorate of Handicrafts, J&K has a scheme to impart training in handicrafts sector to its people because handicrafts has a great potential for employment generation in the state.

Objectives

• To broaden the artisan base in the state.
• To generate employment opportunities for the people.
• To make the people self reliant and enhance their income generating capacity.

Benefits

The department is providing stipend Rs.700/- & Rs.500/- to each trainee per month in advance and elementary training courses.

The duration of advanced training course is of 2 years while the duration of elementary training course is of one year.
