Henkel to invest Rs 210 crore to set up adhesives plant in Maharashtra

News:

  • Germany-based Henkel AG will invest about 30 million euro (around Rs 210 crore) to set up an adhesives plant near Pune in Maharashtra, having an annual capacity of about 80,000 tonnes of adhesives and surface treatments, through its subsidiary Henkel Adhesive Technologies India Pvt Ltd.
  • The new plant is expected to start production by early 2017 and it will cater to end user segments such as automotive, metal and industrial sectors.
  • In the first phase, Kurkumbh plant would have an operational area of about 20,000 square meters and the annual capacity is expected to be about 80,000 metric tonnes of adhesives and surface treatments.
  • Henkel already has nine plants for adhesives across various locations in India.
