West Bengal: Scheme For Distribution Of Fish Vending Accessories Under RKVY

With a view to provide Matsyajan, Bi-cycle and Hygienic insulated box for convenient vending of fish, prawns etc, Scheme for Distribution of Fish Vending Accessories has been taken up under RKVY (Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana) by Fisheries Department, West Bengal Government.

Objectives:

• To keep fish in fresh condition for long time during transportation and vending for better price.
• Door to door vending of fish in fresh condition with better price.
• Vending of fresh fish with better price in decorated cycle van mainly in urban areas.

Target Beneficiaries:

Fish Vendors/Sellers, Fish Collectors or Persons related to fish selling/vending work.

Benefits:

• Free supply of 70 liter capacity insulated box
• One standard branded By-cycle with a specially fabricated carrier to carry an insulated box, one 50 L insulated box and one weighing balance and fish cutting equipments.
• Supply of Mastyajan comprising of three wheeler cycle, insulated ice box, weighing balance and audio system.
