After fall in freight, railway sees slide in passenger bookings

News:

• The Indian Railway has witnessed a negative growth of over 8 per cent in the passenger segment for June this year as compared to the corresponding period last year due to improved condition of roads.
• Barring coal, the loading of iron ore, cement and foodgrains was negative as compared to the last year.
