Bengaluru to get cyber crime police station

  • An officer requires knowledge, analytical prowess, training and equipment to solve a cyber crime.
  • The policemen at stations are trained only in dealing with law and order problems and other incidents of crime. Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) M Chandra Shekar will be supervising the new police station.
  • Citizens can directly approach the station if they have a complaint related to a cyber crime incident.The new station will be opened in a week.
  • DCP (administration) Ram Nivas Sepat said one police inspector from CID cyber-crime wing will be heading the new police station and he will be assisted by two sub-inspectors and they are trained in computer science and recently underwent an advanced training.
