BSNL launched Free 4G Internet Service at Srinagar International Airport

Tourists at the Srinagar International Airport will be able to access to free hi-speed 4G Internet Services for the first 15 minutes as BSNL on Sunday launched its state-of-art Wi-Fi Hotspot services. According to official sources, BSNL is willing to launch Wi-Fi service to other regions as well to help people access the hi-speed internet services.

  • However, in order to use the free Wi-Fi service, tourists need to log in by using a personalized password after they turn o their Wi-Fi services on laptop/smartphones. Passengers can generate OTP (One-Time Password) by clicking on to the registration link on the BSNL Wi-Fi prompt which are displayed on their laptop or phones after the initial login. The system then will operate the required backend verification after which tourists will have access to hi-speed internet connection for first 15 minutes.
  • BSNL is now planning to provide such hi-speed Wi-Fi facilities at hospitals, bus stoppages, and other such public places which not only will help local residents to have access to 4G internet services but tourists visiting the region will get benefits simultaneously.
  • However, BSNL officials during the launch has confirmed that they are soon going to launch free Wi-Fi hotspot facilities nearly 100 places across the whole Kashmiir Valley including Lal Chowk, Press Enclave, SKIMS, Boulevard Road along with banks of Dal Lake by the end of June, this year. BSNL is already providing Wi-Fi service in Hyderabad’s Hussain Sagar Lake, Udupi’s Malpe beach and Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala).
