On republic day (26th Jan), PM Modi will directly connect with each of the all 18 lakh policemen. It’s a first kind of an initiative where Indian PM will be greeting all the policemen of the country via SMS.
During the DGP conference held in Gujarat, the PM expressed his desire to reach out each of the country’s policemen. During the conference, the major issue discussed was the lack of any central law to combat the organized crime. Other discussed issues were enhanced cyber monitoring to track radicalization in many parts of the country.
All the state governments have been asked to prepare a list of contact details of their staff before the republic day.
