PM inaugurates country’s second Green Airport in Vadodara

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gifted the country with Second green International Airport after inaugurating the Integrated Terminal Building of Harni airport, Vadodara Airport.

He highlighted his government’s efforts to help the differently-able and said, “In every infrastructure we create, we have to be conscious about the requirements of our Divyang sisters and brothers.

He also highlighted the importance of air connectivity for the economy, and the tourism sector in particular. He said the Union Government had unveiled an aviation policy which envisaged the future direction and growth of this sector.

The Prime Minister said that Vadodara Airport had now become the second eco-friendly airport in the country, after Kochi.

Speaking after distributing aids and assistive devices to Divyang, the Prime Minister said the requirements of the Divyang must always be kept in mind while creating infrastructure.

He said the Union Government has accorded the highest priority to ensuring that the benefits of its schemes and initiatives reach the intended beneficiaries.

He said initiatives for the Dalits and the marginalized are at the centre-stage in the working of the Union Government.

The Prime Minister said development is the key to solving all problems related to poverty, lack of education and access to healthcare.
