Scheme for Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness of MSME

Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt of India has come up with a Scheme of Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises. This is a National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme(NMCP) scheme.

Objective:

The objectives of Scheme are to increase the competitiveness of the MSME sector through the adoption of LM (Lean Manufacturing) techniques with the objective of :

• Reducing waste
• Increasing productivity
• Introducing innovative practices for improving overall competitiveness;
• Inculcating good management systems
• Imbibing a culture of continuous improvement

Eligibility:

Interested industry associations or Group of approx. 10 MSME units which qualify under MSME-Development Act, 2006 and form an SPV (Mini Cluster) are eligible.

Benefits:  

Financial assistance for implementing pilot projects.
