- In a big boost to Swachch Bharat campaign in northern Madhya Pradesh, 175 brothers gifted toilets to their sisters on occasion of Rakshabandhan festival in Gwalior district.
- Average cost of each toilet, constructed by them, was around Rs 80,000. None of them expected any government help while they constructed toilets.
- About a month before rakhi, district panchayat organized a contest ‘Bhai number 1’ and publicised it around rural areas. Men were encouraged to gift toilets to their sisters.
