Foreign Tourist arrivals grew by 1.8 per cent in June 2015

News:

• The government launched the e-Tourist Visa scheme in November last year for nationals of 43 countries and in May, the government extended the scheme to 31 more countries.
• India has jumped 13 ranks in the World Economic Forum Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index, 2015.
• The country received 5.13 lakh Foreign Tourist Arrival (FTA) during the month of June 2015, registering a growth of 1.8% during the same period last year.
