Scheme for setting up of 300MW Solar PV in Defence Rooftops

We know,that we cannot depend on non renewable sources of  energy for longtime. Therefore we have to move towards renewable sources of energy. But the fact is that renewable sources of energy require more space for installation since electricity by solar cannot be transmitted through transmission lines. Therefore Ministry of new and renewable energy has come with a scheme to promote Solar Energy on rooftops of Defence Sector.

Objective:

To set up Grid and Off Grid Solar PV

Eligibility:

• Rooftops of Ministry of Defence, Navy, Air Force, Defence Lab, Defence PSUs.

Benefits:

• Electricity through Solar PV.
• Promotion of Renewable Sources of Energy.
