Scheme for Day Care centers for Disabled: Goa

Department of Social Welfare, Goa Government, has a scheme to help physically and visually impaired people with disabilities. So under this scheme Government is providing financial assistance to NGOs for setting up Day care centers for disabled people.This scheme is called “Jeevan Jyot”.

Objectives

To provide financial assistance to NGOs for setting up day care centers for disabled to provide healthy, hygienic and better living.

Eligibility

• Any registered Voluntary organisation/ NGO engaged in the promotion of Senior Citizens.
• The organisation should be registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1960.
• Institutions or organisations set up by Government as autonomous bodies under the Societies Registration Act, 1960.
• At least five years in rehabilitation of persons with disability.
• Good credentials.

How to Apply

Application for financial assistance shall be submitted to the Director of Social Welfare in the Prescribed Format and shall be accompanied with the mentioned documents.
