The Government had launched the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission, which is a major initiative of the Government of India and State Governments to promote ecologically sustainable energy. Under this scheme major solar application is launched. Taking this consideration, a new innovative solar dome is launched to promote use of solar energy. It will also constitute a major contribution by India to the global effort to meet the challenges of climate change.
Objective:
- To promote off-grid applications of solar Thermal systems for meeting the targets set in the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission .
- To create awareness and demonstrate effective and innovative use of solar thermal systems for individual/ community/ institutional/ industrial applications.
- To encourage innovation in addressing market needs and promoting sustainable business models.
- To encourage replacement of kerosene, diesel& wood wherever possible.
