Financial Assistance for Funeral Ceremonies of person of Dhangar Community: Goa

Department of Social Welfare, Goa Government under the scheme “Antya Sanskar Sahay Yojana” has announced to provide financial help for Performance of Funeral and Religious Ceremonies related to last rites of a person of Dhangar Community.

Objectives

To Grant Financial Assistance for conducting funerals and religious ceremonies related to last rites of the deceased Dhangar families to have funeral in decent manner.

Eligibility

The Dhangar families whose income is less than Rs. 2.00 Lakhs.

They should be resident of Goa State for the last 15 years.

They are not covered under any other scheme of Government.

Benefit

Rs. 20,000 will be sanctioned as Financial Assistance for Performance of Funeral and Religious Ceremonies of Dhangar families.

How to Apply

The application for Financial Assistance under the scheme shall be made to Social Welfare Department after enclosing all the documents within 6 months from the date of death in the family.
