Sanskriti Bhawan: Multipurpose halls for Dhangar Community: Goa

Department of Social Welfare, Goa Government, has a scheme for Dhangar community to provide them infrastructure facilities like marriage halls, community hall etc.

Objective

• To help the Dhangar community by providing needed infrastructure of Multipurpose Community Halls in villages inhabited by Dhangar Communities.
• These Halls will serve as marriage hall, facilitation point for organizing awareness programmes, conducting trainings, seminars, holding meetings of Forest Right Committees and other Socio-Cultural events.

Eligibility

Areas inhabited by the Dhangar population.

Benefit

A community Hall for-

• Special Anganwadi.
• Reading room.
• Recreation room.
• Hall with a seating capacity of 200 to 300 people.

How to Apply

Application to the Social Welfare Department in prescribed Form may be made by village Panchayat or group of Dhangars or NGO.
