India to target export markets for defence radars

News:

• India is on the verge of increasing its exports and looking at indigenously produced electronic surveillance systems and airborne radars as a lead option.
• The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is ready to work at the systems and radars. It will try to match China, which figures among the top five exporters of weapons and military equipment”.
• Since 2011, India has exported defence equipment to the tune of Rs 1,812 crore.
