Karnataka to be flagship for Digital India drive; to roll out 376 services

News:

• Karnatka government will flagship the Digital India scheme.
• E-governance department is set to roll out 376 government services under the e-district programme within the next three months.
• The e-district platform will cover services pertaining to the revenue department, motor vehicles department, education, police, forest, industries, Backward Classes department and registration of vehicles and land, among other things.
• A citizen in any corner of the state will have to visit a citizen service centre like Bangalore One or Karnataka One or Atal Janasnehi Kendra with relevant documents and the franchisee running the centre will do the required documentation, e-sent across to the concerned department.
