  • The Aadhaar Bill of 2016 which is targeted at delivering financial assistance and other subsidies, benefits and services was given a green signal after a brief debate. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has however, made sure that the details provided for the Aadhaar Card will not be misused in any way.
  • The Bill basically aims to empower the government and help them to provide targeted services to eligible beneficiaries through unique identity numbers named Aadhaar.
