Maharashtra govt to conduct a survey on cooperative societies

News:

  • A survey will be conducted from July 1 to September 30, by Maharashtra government on cooperative societies in the state, to zero in on societies which exist ‘only on paper’.
  • Officers and staff of the department will make spot visits to the societies and check if it is functioning properly which will help the government to cancel the registration of defunct societies.
