PM’s insurance schemes covers 40L in his home state

News:

• State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) revealed that over 40L people have been covered under accidental insurance scheme [Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana] and life insurance scheme [Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana].
• With 60 lakh active bank accounts in the state, SLBC has already covered almost 70% of the target.
• Maximum insurances have been issued in Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Banaskantha, Rajkot and Jamnagar.
• Cities like Ahmedabad and Surat are slowly catching up.
