Scholarship Schemes for Scheduled Caste: Uttarakhand

1. Scheduled Caste Pre-Matric and ITI Scholarship:

This scheme is for the development of Scheduled Caste of Uttarakhand. To make the children educated and literate, the scheme is being implemented. In this, to encourage education among kids, financial assistance is provided. The Key features of this scheme are enlisted below:

Eligibility:

• Applicant should belong to Scheduled Caste.
• Applicant should not be getting any other scholarship.
• Applicant should have passed the previous class.
• For Class IX and X Annual income of family should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakh

Benefits:

• 50 Per month to the students of class 1 to 5.
• 80 Per month to the students of class 6 to 8.
• 350 Per Month for 10 Months and Rs. 1000 as Books Allowances for Class 10 Hostellers.
• 150 Per Month for 10 Months and Rs. 750 as Books Allowances for Class 10 Non-Hostellers.

2. Post Matric Scholarship

Eligibility:

• Applicant should Belong to Scheduled Caste.
• Applicant should have passed the previous class.
• Annual income of family should not exceed Rs. 2.5 Lakh

Benefits:

• Assistance will be given to the Scheduled Tribes as follows:

Group 1 Graduate and Post-Graduate Courses like Medicinal, Pilot License, Engineering, Business etc.	Rs. 1200	Rs. 530

 3. Scholarship for children of Persons indulged in Unclean Profession (Leather Unloading, tanning and Scavenging):

This scheme is for students of class VI to X and scheme is totally sponsored by the central government. Assistance in this scheme are given as:

For Hostellers:

• For class 3 to 10; Rs. 700 per month for 10 months.
• One-time assistance of Rs. 1000 every year

For Non Hostellers:

• For Class 1 to 10; Rs. 110 per month for 10 months.
• One-time assistance of Rs. 750 every year.
