Uttar Pradesh: Rajiv Gandhi Handicraft Artisan Insurance Scheme

Department of MSME and Export Promotion under Uttar Pradesh Government has launched health insurance for artisan family to provide them financial assistance and excellent health services in case of accident/death/separation or disassembling of body part or completely failure of a body organ. This scheme is sponsored by Central Government.

Eligibility:

Any artisan, who has four members in his family viz. artisan, his wife and two children, is eligible for the benefits under this insurance scheme.

Benefits:

• Premium for the insurance will be Rs. 800 per year.
• Contribution amount of Central Govt. will be Rs. 650 and rest amount of Rs. 150 will be borne by artisan.
• For SC/ST category, contribution amount of Central Govt. will be Rs. 725 and rest amount of Rs. 75 will be borne by artisan.
• Insured artisan will be given Rs. 1,00,000 in case of accident/death/separation or disassembling of body part or complete failure of a body organ.
