Western Railways introduces mobile ticketing app for suburban commuters

• Paperless mobile ticket app will be available on the Western Railway’s suburban system between Churchgate and Dahanu Road, a railway official said.
• The users have to first download the latest version of UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile ticket app from ‘Playstore’.
• The users will not have to stand in the queue or visit automated ticket vending machine and the transaction will be done through R-wallet, said the Western Railway official.
• The app has been launched with an aim to provide hassle free travel to 75 lakh daily suburban commuters and the facility is result of the efforts of railway officials, for the use of technology and will be initially available on Android and Windows smartphones.
