Agricultural Mechanisation Programme for farmers in Tamil Nadu

About the Scheme:

Under this scheme a subsidy assistance is provided to farmers for procuring Agricultural Machinery and implements such as Tractors, Power Tillers, Tractor drawn rotavators etc

Objectives of Scheme: 

1. To promote mechanisation in agriculture

2.To popularize the Agricultural Machinery / implements among the farmers

3.To meet out the shortage of agricultural labourers

4.To ensure timeliness in carrying out farm operations

5.To increase the available farm power

Benefits Offered:

1. Tractor : 25% of the cost limited to ` 45,000/-(upto 40 HP)
2. Power Tillers:  40% of the cost limited to ` 45,000/- ( 8 HP & above)
3. Tractor drawn Rotavators 40% of the cost limited to ` 20,000/-

Who are eligible:

All the farmers in Tamil Nadu are eligible for this scheme.
