Airbus to set up shop in Anantapur

News:

• Airbus, one of the world’s leading commercial aircraft manufacturers, it is reliably learnt, is looking to set up shop in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.

• The site is on the Hyderabad- Bengaluru National Highway, 80 km from Anantapur town and about 90 km from the Bengaluru.

• But the proposal by Airbus has the potential to turn the district into a major industrial hub for other aircraft part manufacturing, aircraft maintenance and logistics industry, catering to the supply chain needs, said Anantapur Collector, Solomon Arogyaraj.
