AP: Street lights in local bodies to have LED bulbs soon

News:

• The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) is working on replacing all the street lights in all municipalities and panchayats with LED bulbs in a phased manner.
• The APERC has already replaced 92,000 street lights in Visakhapatanam with LED bulbs.
• AP Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, said so far 57 lakh LED bulbs were distributed in the state at Rs 10 a bulb.
