Industrial Assistance: Gujarat Industrial Policy

Development of Industries and Infrastructure is a necessity now days for the development of state. To encourage and attract the industrialists to set up industries in Gujarat State, Government has come up with Industrial Assistance Scheme under their Gujarat Industrial Policy. The Key Features and Necessary Details are enlisted below:

Period of Operation:

From 1^st January 2015 to 31^st December 2019

Eligibility:

• Any Industries Association, Chamber of Commerce and Industries or SPV of Industries (which are registered under Society Act, Trust Act or Company Act) or any Large Project/ Group of Industries are eligible
• Any Department of Government, Government Agency of Authority, State and Central Govt. PSUs, Boards, Corporations will be eligible
• Payroll incentive will be eligible only for new/additional domiciled employees

Benefits:

• Financial Assistance of Rs. 25 Crore or Total 60 % of project cost, whichever is less
• Under special circumstances assistance of 80% may be granted but within the overall ceiling of 25 Crore.
• Committee may grant 100% financial assistance to the Government Agency, State and Central Govt. Agency, PSUs, etc.
• Undertaking of any studies such as Specific Industries/Industrial Area/ Industrial Development activities through professional institution/ reputed consultancy firm under scheme
• In case of no stake holder for the development of infrastructure of the industrial area/estate, Industries commissioner may appoint agency to undertake study on requirement of critical infrastructure and put up to implementation committee for sanction of project and to appoint agency to execute the work
