- The transport ministers of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal (BBIN) have signed a motor vehicles agreement in a bid to boost trade and sub-regional connectivity among the four nations.
- The BBIN pact will also set the stage for a new connectivity paradigm in India’s north-east, which is looking for easier access not just to mainland India but also to South-east Asia, a high growth area of the continent.
