Rani Lakshmi Bai Pension Yojana

A pension may be a “defined benefit plan” where a fixed sum is paid regularly to a person, or a “defined contribution plan” under which a fixed sum is invested and then becomes available at retirement age. Uttar Pradesh Govt. has started “Rani Lakshmi Bai Pension Yojana” under which financial assistance will be provided to poor and backward class families living below poverty line.

Objective:

To provide financial assistance to families living below poverty line and they are not listed by Central Govt. in BPL list and are not availing benefits of BPL ration card, Antyodaya Scheme, Old age pension, Widow pension, Disable people pension and any other scheme.

Eligibility:

  • Beneficiary should be woman head of the family.
  • In case of no woman head, man head of the family can apply for this scheme.
  • Family should be living below poverty line and not listed in BPL list.

Benefits:

Selected families will be given Rs. 400 per month in two half yearly installments.

Beneficiaries can avail benefits through their account in any nationalized bank or regional rural bank.
